This story was amazing, definitely in my top 3 books that I’ve read in 2019. “The Silent Patient” pulled me in immediately. I HAD to know why Alicia was refusing to speak after the death of her husband. I made many predictions throughout the book and I must admit, I was horribly off with all of them.

The story jumped around from Alicia’s psychotherapist, Theo’s perspective and also an occasional glimpse into Alicia’s diary. Both of their stories fascinated me and both of their stories left me wanting more. The last 100 pages were unputdownable. I highly recommend, “The Silent Patient” if you’re looking for a good mystery/thriller.

I also would like to applaud Alex Michaelides for writing an excellent debut novel. I’m hoping to get the chance to read more of his work in the future.
