With an opening similar to that of Gone Girl...this reader is intrigued...

Alicia's object that she sometimes writes in to please her husband, Gabriel, so that he does not worry about her. Was Gabriel abusive or controlling in some manner? What is it that has Alicia feeling depressed and perhaps spiraling down a hole of despair? This non-diary, non-journal entry seems too rehearsed...did Alicia do this terrible thing? If so, why?
