The cover is one that I would normally overlook. It is an ugly fleshy color and looks like a hangnail, which I associate with pain and forces me to look away from it before even reading the title. I didn’t notice it was a grunge layer over a creepy face until I looked at it for this critique. Still, poorly designed in comparison to other big upcoming thrillers.
