Well, that was exciting. The author didn't waste any time giving up the details of the night Alicia was arrested for killing her husband. I'll admit, it seems like there is some inspiration from Michael Meyers here, except instead of a small boy who grows into a large and silent man, we have a woman who paints and doesn't speak. We also have a psychotherapist, Theo, who is quite interested in Alicia. It seems like readers are going to learn a lot about Theo while he tries to discover Alicia's motivation for murdering her husband. I'm interested in the character development but the author doesn't seem to hold back too much.. Still, I'd read the book.
