What a beginning! I first ran across this book on a Goodreads giveaway and was immediately drawn by the cover, the cut out lips of a painting torn away like that. But now, after reading the first three chapters, I'm dying to read the rest of it! It's everything I want in a story: a twisty mystery, a potentially unreliable narrator, a scandalous crime. It's exactly the kind of thrills I'm looking for!
