Wow, the book starts right off with a bang! First, we get a look into Alicia's diary, where you can tell something isn't quite right. Just a page later, we find out that Alicia has murdered her husband with several gunshots to the face, and then hurt herself. Alicia doesn't speak a work after she is found, and the only form of expression she has is painting a self portrait with the Greek word Alcetis. It is clear that she did murder her husband, but what is her motive? And will the narrator be able to help figure out why she is silent?
I have really wanted to read this book since I first read the synopsis and a lot of my friends on Goodreads who have gotten a copy already have left some terrific reviews. I am a huge fan of domestic suspense/thrillers and this book, I have a good feeling, will be an instant favorite of mine.
