The writing of this book is very whimsical and strange, and the multiple perspectives are distinct enough that you can follow everyone's story. Sometimes this writing style worked for me and sometimes it didn't, but I still believe the writing is well throughout.

This one of the books that have multiple perspectives that work well. That being said, with the multiple character perspectives there was still a disconnect between me and the main characters: I felt like for all the meaningful topics in this book I should've felt closer to the characters. The author did flesh out these characters, though despite my personal feelings of disconnect. This book feels very realistic about teenage behavior and is very open-ended in its interpretation. I think my three-star rating is because there is both a fair scale of positives and negatives, but overall it is interesting enough to check out!
