First and most importantly I think I should note that this is not the type of book I normally read in anyway. Let’s start out with the things that I really did like. One of my favorite thing about this book was the prose. The writing was beautiful and intense and really made me feel connected to the story. That said there’s little to no action. If you’re looking for a story about the inside of someone’s mind struggling with mental health and this might be the book for you. It was slow at some points but I can still appreciate the beauty and complexity. I also quite enjoyed all of the characters again they were well written complex and seemed pretty relatable. They were all fleshed out really well and felt complete and well-rounded. And of course, I have to mention the beautiful cover. It looks stunning on my bookshelf and I would recommend this book if this is your cup of tea, but I understand that it’s not for everyone.
