First of all, the writing style of this book is beautiful. Every sentence seems intentional, and carefully constructed, and I love it. The character descriptions are part of what makes the writing style so engaging. Each character is described subtly, in a way that benefits the reader's imagination and leaves them wanting more (which the author seems to continuously provide).

The first chapter is really interesting and pulled me in. It begins painting a picture of the setting as a whole, instead of following the mold that many books do by describing setting from one point of view. Through this chapter we are also hesitantly introduced to our protagonist/s. This is clever because it's through the lens of the town as a whole.

Overall, I am definitely interested in continuing this book, the writing style and story are both something I'm very intrigued by.
