This is the first contemporary I've ever read and I found myself hooked. I oftentimes find myself reading YA Fantasy or dystopian-esc novels and yet this was a nice break from that. Tackling issues such as mental health and the effects of climate change it's crucial we recognize these in our own lives.
The story told through multiple perspectives and each one serving its respective purpose to further along the story. In the beginning I found it a bit puzzling following along with all the characters being introduced but slowly got the hang of it. From this excerpt I can no doubt see the direction it'll take as we navigate these intricate relationships between these 3 characters. Familial relationships and friendships in strain and will continue to do so as reality strikes them down. At times we have to forge our own paths and in other times we must look to others to help us on our way. These characters will be put to the test in order to find out which route they'll take and I cannot wait to figure out what happens next!
