Wow, the depths of this book make me wonder how we never had YA books like this when I was younger. The openness of discussing depression and attempted suicide its just so emotional. I love how the book is broken down into each main characters perspective. It shows you what Harlow, Ellis & Tommy are each going through and their thoughts they are having. I especially enjoyed Harlow and her dedication to saving West Finch and how she feels like its her debt to pay for everything she considers she did wrong. Tommy should have his own story, about how he is doing after this book. I would actually read another book based on these three characters again! I've never been big on the mental health theme of books but this one is different, with the way it makes you feel these emotions these kids are having. My only question is how the book ended, I feel like there wasn't full closure on what exactly happened, which is why I would love another book with these three in it. I highly recommend you getting this book for yourself and sharing it with your teenage child if you have one, it will help open up a discussion I am sure about mental health.
