I really really loved this book and I don’t often say that. It’s also not often that I power through a book in one day. I’ve read reviews that complained about this book having “stalled” or boring parts but I didn’t really feel that way at all. I think that for a young adult novel that this book was written extremely well, and to be honest it kind of surprised me.
There are three main characters in this novel and each of them are well developed. They all have flaws (sometimes you really don’t like them) but also characteristics you ended up liking about them as well. The characters are like genuine people. It made the book feel raw. The author also had really amazing character development.
This story gave me so many feelings and I’m so happy that I got the chance to read it. I’ve been where Tommy has and while reading about his feelings was a little for me, it really made this book special.
My only complaint is the ending , I really hate being left off like that.
