I am immediately drawn to this book because for a few reasons: 1. it addresses teen mental health, 2. it highlights the helplessness of a town in a crisis caused by climate change, and 3. it features friends and is told from multiple points of view. I knew from the trigger warning at the beginning that this would not be a light read, but so far it seems so realistic as to what teens go through regularly that I am glad to see the YA genre moving in this direction. Can't wait to read the whole thing!
