Sounds like something with a cool twist

Maybe I read too many books with interactions into an alternate universe, but it sounds like it could head into a kinda sci-fi twist on a normal YA novel, I'm excited to see how they do it. I don't want it to be a twist that I can see coming from now, but then again it couldn't be any more 'cookie cutter' than a lot of other books I've seen recently. Has a lot of potential.
