At first glance, the cover/title suggests to me that this is a young adult fiction focusing on emotions or character development. The summary confirms this assumption. However, when I read the first bit about the hurricane, I was thinking maybe it was more about environmental activism? Then reading on more I see there's some mentions of mental health and not dealing with problems, so I'm like, is this metaphorical? Cracking into the excerpt, I see that there is grappling with mental health as the primary issue at first.... this town and the characters will be dealing with the impacts of this throughout the story. Not to give away the entire plot in a summary, but I will say, it was just a bit confusing as to what the book is about at first, but I believe that it will become clearer throughout. It's not completely necessary to be spoon-fed the info anyway. Sometimes it's just fun to find out on your own.
