I’m a sucker for a good YA book. Sometimes they have too much forced symbolism or the quirkiness of characters is pushed, but that is not the case here. I knew from the first page of the sample that this was going to be good. Actually, in all honesty, I was drawn in at the title. I feel connected to the characters and am super intrigued by them. They seem mature and not in a way that boastfully says “look how mature I am” but the story humbly says it for them, so far. I want to know the deeper parts of what’s happening here. I would absolutely check this book out if I were to see it on the shelf.
