I really appreciate the content warning/trigger warning in the very beginning for suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, and depression. This is SO important going into a reading experience so I really commend the author and publisher for including it.
Once I got into the story, I liked the succinct, clear writing style. The town and its inhabitants are characterized very clearly and in touching depth in a prologue. We then shift gears completely to a more personal perspective. I don't think this book is for me - it's a little too dark and moody for my taste - but I can tell other readers will love it.
