The first thing I noticed, is that this book is divided into months, and is written in a very laid back style, which I like. You definitely get the small-town vibe from the language and how it talks about "in any other town." Life in small-towns is different. I think that it is also neat that it is a multi-person narrated text. "One" starts with Harlow, but later in "Three" the reader gets to read Ellis. I think that books written in this manner tend to be quicker reads, which I also greatly enjoy.
