I don't have words to explain how good was this book! The author excelled at character arcs, at the plot, at the storyline, at the language and the vocabulary, at pretty much everything!
I have not read a book lately that left me hungry for more. I was impressed with the amount of drama involved how strategic and necessary they were, rather than being annoying and ruining the experience for the reader.
The characters all had played their roles perfectly.
Fan Zilan - is the heroine of this book, who is struggling between being an overprotective sister, proving her right to be alive and live in China, the court and love life.
Crown Prince Hong - I have to say, as a strong female, I prefer to have an also strong man next to me so in the beginning his submissive character was bothering me, but somehow he grew on me later on. If I have to mention one thing that was not ok that would have been it, but it had its own reasons as I found out later on.
And finally mix in that pot her and his families, and what a big "happy" family they are... well not, but that's when the fun starts! Definitely recommended to read for EVERYBODY, but especially the who love fantasy!
