The prologue wasted absolutely no time in capturing the reader's attention with it's writing, leaving me wondering what it means and how the story will play out. I can already tell how captivating the storytelling and worldbuilding will be, and the atmosphere was palpable, even from this small sliver of story.
I liked the darkness that the author presents on alchemy. Our MC, Zilan, already sounds interesting.

I can't wait to read about the Tang dynasty, see the action, and the family bond that was presented. The banter between the cousins brought a smile to my face, and they seem like a fantastic trio. Yufei with her wildness and defiance, Wenshu with his brains and logic, and Zilan with her skills.
