Ms. Baker writes in an engaging easy to read style. Her words have a nice flow, and her descriptions offer a picture to the mind without being too wordy. While this type of book is not a genre I normally read, I think there are many who would find a story with alchemy interesting and would find the character Zillan to be appealing.
