I think that alchemy especially in Chinese history is fascinating. This is a take on that time period and it's already so captivating. The introduction to Zilan's character make you want to know more about what she does. Raising the dead and doing that illegally is taboo and yet so many seem to know of her talents. Looking forward to reading more.
