I absolutely love Asian culture, and this book seems to take the best of that cultural genre, and meld it into a fabulous fantasy YA novel. I love the characters, and the concept of alchemy. This ages old practice is fascinating, and I definitely would love to continue to read this beyond the excerpt. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!!
