The cover caught my eye, it was mysterious to me. It was kind of scary, but yet beautiful. The title was also interesting. I did not know what an alchemist was, so I had to look it up. The snippet of the story that was provided had great descriptions. I could visualize the dead body and the characters. I also like how it described the different countries. It will be interesting to see where this leads.
