Kylie Lee Baker has a way of writing that instantly sucks you in and gets you invested immediately. Her prose is lyrical and lush, and she puts you into a scene you can see and smell, with characters that are equally as compelling from the jump. The world we find ourselves is a big "what-if" and Baker doesn't waste any time getting to the interesting details that make you want to know exactly what the world would be like if death were only a fleeting concern. This is definitely a must-read for me.
