I'm a huge fan of books that take inspiration from Chinese history, culture, and folklore, which is why this book grabbed my interest right from the start. I really like that the story revolves around forbidden alchemy - it’s such a unique and intriguing concept. The writing style is beautiful and descriptive, and it pulled me into the story from the very beginning. I’m definitely interested in reading more!
