This first look was very atmospheric from the start, and I absolutely loved the descriptive elements worked into the exposition. I also liked how spunky our MC is off the bat; in fact, a lot of the characterizations are already being fleshed out beautifully. I wasn't planning on reading this book going into this, but this might be one of those rare first looks that changes my mind!
