Alchemy and bringing the dead back to life!

Zilan is such an interesting character. She's had an unlucky life, her mother dying, her dad taking off and now living with her aunt and uncle and cousins and they have no money. So, her and her cousins bring corpses back to life using alchemy, which is illegal. I love the author's writing style. It's really a book to get lost in. And I love the setting of olden days of China.
