Recently fired and desperate for income, Emily jumps at the chance to help her former boss' wife, Nina, care for their 6 year old daughter, Aurelia, at a gorgeous home on the coast of France. I was sucked into this story from the start and the short chapters made it way too easy to keep reading and reading and reading until I'd devoured the whole thing in a little over 24 hours. If you love suspenseful stories, then be sure to try this promising debut!
Lastly, the remote setting totally reminded me of another thriller, The Au Pair (4 stars) by Emma Rous!
