I was drawn into this story and had a hard time putting it down. The quick chapters alternate between Emily, a broke young girl trying to make it, and Scott, her boss and a powerful and wealthy man.
Emily loses her job but Scott decides to offer her a job at his secluded coastal estate. She will get paid well and will be a general assistant at the house helping with his daughter who has health issues. The only catch is she will be very isolated there with no phone reception.
As Emily settles into the isolation and the job, she starts to see that things are not what they seem.
This was a creepy and compelling read for me. I highly recommend it.
