The cover is beautiful and I keep staring at it wishing I was at the beach! The book starts out with Emily’s misfortunes but when her boss,Scott, offers her the deal of a lifetime she can’t turn it down. The deal is for Emily to go to his beach house and help his wife and look after his child. Only there is something strange going on there. It was suspenseful through most of the book but toward the end it seemed to drag and become predictable. In the end, Scott chose Emily not only because she would understand what they had done but also because she might end it. It was uplifting that she realized her adoptive parents loved her even though she didn’t always agree with their ways. If you like a psychological thriller then this book is worth a read!
