Emily thinks she's found the perfect job after a string of failed temp jobs and being dropped by her agent as a non-earning "actress." Her last temp job's CEO approaches her out of the blue and offers her a personal assistant/babysitter/homekeeper position with his wife in the middle of nowhere, France. At first everything seems fine but the longer she stays there, the more oddities she notices about the wife and the illness-bound child. After a minor injury, she discovers something that rips the lid off the secrets surrounding the family and has a desperate choice to make. Riveting, shocking, and endlessly thrilling, this book was a fantastic read! The characters leapt off the page and it kept me guessing til the very last page.
