I absolutely loved The Safe Place! when you are first meeting all of the characters you are not 100% sure where the story is going to go and who is the "bad" guy. I completely judged one of the characters completely wrong - trying to not give it away! the ending of the book really took me by surprise. The whole story was not what I predicted it would be and not what i would have expected the character to do. the author was fantastic at setting the scenes and developing the characters so that you liked them all. I thought originally that the safe place would be a highly predictable book, like all the rest of its kind in the genre but i was happy to be proven wrong. i would 100% read more by this author.
