The story of Emily and Scott could have been a great read. However, I felt there were some major flaws. When the story was being told from Emily’s perspective, I felt that she was being too mistrusting and felt the author was adding in “eerie-ness” to tell the audience there was something wrong with Emily’s job and there was more to the story. I felt the author was leading the reader to not be surprised when something thrilling happened, and I am one that loves plot twists, so the foreshadowing here was just too much for me. This may also be just me as I am trusting and naive sometimes. I was also disappointed that the main conflict of the story did not come about until there was about 100 pages left, and then there was just a quick “resolution”. I felt the author could have drawn the conflict and resolution out more, and shortened up the introduction of the story.
