This is a classic suspense novel that takes place in France. The book starts with Emily losing her job and her agent. She gets the opportunity of a life time and gets hired to work with her ex-boss wife at their home. Nina and Scott's relationships isnt normal. He barely spends any time with her. Emily starts to develop relationships with Nina and her daughter and then Emily learns the truth... She has a hard time hiding the information that she knows about Nina and Scott's daughter and where she came from. Nina said she is going to take care of Emily and Scott drops everything to fly to Nina. Told by Emily and Scotts perspective the book goes back and forth between them both as the story unfolds.
