I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and was super excited to read it. The story was intriguing, although a little over-the-top implausible with its twists. I was able to guess a few of the plot points, but not all of them, which I really liked, and the ones I was not able to guess were pretty shocking to me.
However, some of the characters were just ridiculous. Emily was incredibly naive and kind of an idiot. Nina seemed fake and you just knew there was something up with her. Scott was manipulative and power-hungry. But I felt like most of the characters were not really fully formed, especially Scott. I would have developed a little more back story than just him visiting his mother. Overall, it was okay, but I wouldn’t read it again.
