I did enjoy reading, The Safe Place by Anna Downes. The cover and title sucked me in right away, but to be honest, it was a little too slow for me at first. There were parts here and there that made you wonder what was happening but it didn’t really pick up for me until a little over half way through. Then it got good!! That was the point in the story I had to stay up late to find out what was happening but in a way almost predictable? I did like the ending and what ended up with the storyline. I would give The Safe Place, 3 out of 5 stars, just because it was pretty slow for me at first. I like when a book can catch me off guard or hook me instantly where this one just took a little time to do so.
