II am a big fan of Ruth Ware and Lisa Jewell and was excited and intrigued to see Anna Downes new novel The Safe Place put in the same category. I just think I found another great author.

Anna Downes new novel The Safe Place was a little slow at first but quickly drew me in. It’s an easy read and great beach read.
Emily can be anyone of us with a life that is a mess and full of drama. But once her boss offers a job that’s where it was the non-reality comes in. Not everyone would get that opportunity but that is what makes a book good. You can just sink yourself into it and wonder “what if”. There was a lot of twists and turns. I did not want to put it down. I enjoy reading books that have reference to French estates and it quickly had me hooked. The suspense to trying to figure out what was really happening had me not wanting to put it down.
I was pleasantly surprised in reading this novel. I look forward to reading this in conclusion and will definitely put this on my TBD list. If you’re looking for a solid mystery, beach read you must put this on your list too. I highly recommend this book and maybe you will find a new author too.
