I absolutely loved this book, The Safe Place. At the opening of the book, Emily is having a terrible day. In one day she has lost her apartment and her job and just like that she is completely lost. Then she meets Scott, a handsome and mysterious stranger. Scott is also in a bind and he offers to hire Emily to be his housekeeper for his beautiful property in France. Having no other options and being intrigued by Scott she decides to accept. She immediately becomes mesmerized and enchanted by the house, Scott, as well as his wife and his daughter. Then she discovers that they may not be the perfect employers or family that they seem to be. They are hiding some major secrets and she needs to find those out or she will never be safe. I very much enjoyed this book!
