I thoroughly enjoyed the twists in this novel and the impending feeling of doom on the main character as she moves into a beautiful oceanside home to help a family as the nanny to their strange daughter. The mother is "interesting" and we find out as readers that there is a lot going on behind the closed doors of this family as they seclude their daughter from the world. I thought the author did a great job of building suspense and keeping the readers on the fence about the mother (or whether the nanny was taking too many liberties). But in the end, readers will see that there is a layered issue happening within the family dynamics and the twist at the end will have mouths open. I'd recommend this story for someone who likes suspense, mystery or a domestic setting for their novels. Not recommended for those who want big action. There is a subtle brewing of tension.
