this book was an amazing read that I really enjoyed! The setting is perfect and the house is described in a very detailed manner, to the point where I could easily picture myself there. While the author puts together a seemingly perfect paradise and dream job for Emily there are undercurrents of danger and red flags lurking. The story builds and builds until we get to the heart of the mystery and then the story really picks up speed from there.
The characters were enjoyable, I loved Emily and my opinions on Scott and Nina change throughout the book. I thought that the author did a really great job of building the suspense and she did a great job with the ending. Anna Downes will definitely be an author that I watch out for and this book is the perfect summer read!
