Wow. This was such an amazing thriller. I admit I was in a terrible reading slump when I got to this book. I had read 5 books in a row that were just not very entertaining. This book not only got me out of my slump but is one of my favorites for this year so far. I read a ton of thrillers and more often than not they disappoint or let me down. This book did none of these things. Its so good that I'm looking forward to the next book she writes.
Emily was such a naive, unaware character who gets lucky enough to catch an amazing job opportunity or so she thinks. She leaves everything behind to help care for her former CEO's wife and daughter. Something just isn't right at this house though.
Throughout this entire book I almost felt like screaming at the main character because she seemed so unaware of the dangerous situation she was in. There were times I shouted at the book because I just wanted her to get out of her situation. The most intense scene in this book was her trying to leave the house. I couldn't put the book down from that point on because everything just got that intense.
