I enjoyed this one, quite a lot actually, but it is not without some flaws.

What I liked:
The setting was beautiful, atmospheric and just the right amount of creepy.
I didn’t see the big twist at the end. I honestly thought the plot was going in a completely different direction.
The plot was original, to me.
The main character was relatable and easy to root for, despite her flaws.

What I didn’t like:
The ending was confusing and left a lot of loose ends.
The writing in the first 40 pages or so was weaker than in the rest of the book.
Some things the characters did didn’t make sense at all for their personalities and motives.

All in all, this is an entertaining summer read and one I’m glad I read. I will he checking this author out more in the future.

Thank you to the publisher for my free copy. All thoughts are my own.
