Um, Emily's a mess and Scott's a creep. I want to pity Emily, but she's such a disastrous trainwreck that I couldn't look away: no friends, no acting career, and now - no job, no family, no apartment. She has about 4 weeks to figure out where to live and how to pay for it - but it seems this isn't all her fault.

After all, Scott's been observing her, and making decisions that will direct her life, without her having any clue.

I'm looking forward to reading more - the writing is visceral, which means that there are all sorts of opportunities for the countryside estate to feel languid and for the suspense to cause shivers. Can't wait to see what happens to Emily!
