Both the characters who have alternating chapters are very well developed from the get-go. Emily is a selfish mess but I feel for her and I want to see her pull herself from this slump on her own. Scott seems well put together but is a little frightening. These characters have a lot of growth they need and I hope by the end of the book they grow to where they need to be, but right now they are very flawed and I love that.
