A couple years ago, if you'd asked I'd say I don't read thrillers. And then my sister convinced me and now I'm hooked.
When I read the description for The Safe Place, I immediately clicked on the first look. And it did not disappoint.
A lot of times with books like this the reader is completely in the dark right along with the main character. Well not completely. You know something is coming, the character doesn't. But in this, Scott is right there with his own perspective. Doing things we don't understand, but that are definitely not normal behaviors.
And then theres Nina's frantic messages and calls. I'm so invested already! And I need more!
