Wow, I am only 32 pages in but I am already hooked! I was so sad when the sample was over, because I wanted to keep reading. This book has short-medium chapters, with multiple points of view - two of my favorite things in a book! I am already extremely interested in both Emily & Scott's view points. Emily is going through a rough patch. She just lost her job, she is not doing well with her acting auditions, and she is living pay check to pay check. With strained famiy ties and no one to turn to, she's not sure what she's going to do. Scott is a successful business man, and Emily's previous employer who just had her fired. I'm not sure what's up Scott's sleeve yet, but I am nervous/excited to see how this plays out. I am confident that The Safe Place will be one of the great thrillers of 2020!
