I've really been looking forward to this book, and the excerpt totally delivered. It sets up the story well, with it being clear that Emily is a harried young woman who really doesn't have it all together, and the head of the company she's been working for is definitely a dark and mysterious character, who sees something in Emily... but the reader, so far, is left wondering exactly what his purpose is. I'm totally invested in this and want more- it has a great set up and potential!
