Okay I was bad and didn't read the summary at first so going back and reading that after the first look helped fill in the blanks, but I really enjoyed this first look. Emily is definitely a mess, there is no ifs ands or buts about it. She gets fired and looses her apartment quickly into the first look and then forgets her mother's birthday. Then we meet Scott, who has a pain fetish it seems. He has his eyes on Emily and thinks that she's perfect for the job (Of being his and his wife Nina's housekeeper). Scott to me seems like he's got a lot of layers going on and I really want to see what more he has going on. I definitely want to read this book and learn about some deep, dark, dangerous secrets.
