The excerpt was very intriguing! As interesting as the synopsis sounded, I wasn't quite sure if this would be my kind of book, but I ended up reading the excerpt in full. While the excerpt doesn't delve into the mystery/thriller, it does set up the story well and hint at some creepiness. I would be interested in reading further.
